The CIA (Confidence In Action) is our newest Fixed Gear Titanium frame made specifically for golf.

The golf-specific ‘CIA’ is handmade in Japan and features a feather-light, incredibly strong, titanium frame with a high definition, dye infused, LT33/ LT16 polyamide lens. The lens is a decentered eight base, 33% Light Transmission wrap. This lens that actually appears to brighten and sharpen your vision on the golf course yet still provides 100% UVA and UVB 400nm protection. The LT33/ LT16 lenses are top drill mounted eliminating 60% of the lower frame and allowing for an unobstructed view while addressing the ball. The frame also includes adjustable, oversized, soft, tacky, silicone nose pads that will keep the frames comfortably in place during the most powerful of golf swings. When blending dyes to colorize the tint on any lens one must consider the reaction that the ‘visible light spectrum’ has on the human brain. After several attempts in blending the dyes, we feel we have found the perfect sweet spot within the visible light spectrum that will create the perfect contrast and color for the game of golf. This sweet spot will allow the player to put the Scheyden CIA’s on and keep them on during the entire round, including while performing shots in the shade of a tree.

The sunglasses are fantastic. They have become my favorite pair. The frames are very lightweight which is great for long term wear outside (this is a great thing for Louisiana hot weather). I find that I’m not squinting even when in bright sunlight. My wife knew how much I liked them so she ended up buying me a back up pair.

A friend of mine was wearing a pair, my first impression was how good they looked. I asked to try them on and was very impressed with the clarity and comfort. I had always worn Oakley’s but was never comfortable over my golf ball with my Oakley’a, I would take them off to hit a shot then put them back on. I finally have a pair of glasses that I can keep on at all times and feel that it has improved my visual confidence and comfort. Awesome pair of glasses and great looking.

I recently got the CIA sunglasses from Scheyden. I had admired them on someone else and got a pair for myself. They are beautiful and adjustable. More importantly, they are perfect for my vision. Love them

Sunglasses for golf are not an option for me. Because of my prescription, they are essential. I have been privileged to wear state of the art sunglasses for the last decade. This past week I got a pair of CIA’s. The clarity is unparalleled. Not only are they perfect for bright sunny Florida days, they also work great on cloudy days. I’m really not surprised, because they are made by the same company that makes Club Glove luggage, the state of the art for golf travel.

I love these sunglasses! Especially for golf. They make everything so clear and the greens just “pop”. Makes the greens easier to read.... very comfortable to wear, you actually forget you are wearing any at all. You won’t be disappointed with these!!

"Finally" West Coast Trends has added to their outstanding collection of golf accessories with the first sunglasses ever to be exclusively designed for the golfer.. after an exhaustive search lasting what seems like forever I have found a pair of sunglasses that allow me to see the ball with clarity both on the putting green and at a distance; before the CIA's in order to read a green the glasses were shoved to the top of my head, after a shot the glasses were again removed to see where the ball had landed, but now the acuteness has been restored and they are extremely comfortable not sliding on the bridge of my nose and since they are so light weight I forget they are on..really don't remember when I take them off anymore!!!! I have never been able to wear sunglasses when I played golf and its been almost 30 years. They would either be uncomfortable when swinging or useless with the clarity of reading greens. It would actually hinder my swing for fear of them falling off. But these CIA's REALLY do give you confidence when swinging AND reading greens They are very comfortable yet incredibly stable throughout the swing and I had no fear to really go after it and not once did they move during my swing so mission accomplished! Then on the greens they actually help you see the grain more clearly somehow and I actually felt more confident in my lines so I even putted better. And equally important they are cool looking which always helps your confidence too! Thanks so much guys, well done!

These sunglasses are the best sunglasses I have ever played golf in, and I’ve tried many different styles and lenses. The lens actually helps see the contours of the greens and has improved my ability to read putts. The frame is lightweight so you don’t feel weighted down. The only thing I would improve upon is the ear piece is hard to get just right ... I have been bending the titanium frames in all different ways and still can’t get them to be 100% comfortable. A soft rubber ear piece would help improve the fit and comfort. But, I still highly recommend these glasses to every golfer.

Standard 3 Year Warranty

Scheyden Precision Eyewear standard sun-lenses are covered for three (3) years from original date of purchase under manufacturer defects. Should you have the unfortunate circumstance of scratching or breaking your standard sun-lenses, West Coast Trends, Inc. will replace them for the following price:

  • $49.95 plus return shipping and handling. This includes Standard Sun-Lens replacement, clean and tune up frame (frame tune up includes replacement of nose pads, ear socks and ultrasonic cleaning).
  • Nose pads on our composite frames and cloisonné tips on certain models cannot be replaced. This offer is valid for your first lens replacement.

 Should you require additional lens replacements, the price schedule is as follows:

  • $89.95 plus shipping and handling. Standard Sun-Lens replacement to include frame tune up and labor.  
  • ReaderX, custom prescription and custom tinted lenses 
    (custom color, tint, etc.) are not covered under this warranty. 
    Effective December 1, 2010.
