Scheyden Precision Eyewear releases the new Liberator model

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 18, 2016) – Scheyden Precision Eyewear – The dominant eyewear brand in general aviation, best known for handcrafting premium lenses and frames, announces the addition of the Liberator model to its premium sunglass collection. Since its initial debut, the Liberator’s timeless design and distinct composition has received positive reviews from the aviation community, and has even extended the brand’s appeal to other outdoor sports patrons which include, but not limited to: golf and fishing.

Scheyden’s first Fixed Gear Titanium with high clarity CR39 lenses, the Liberator ($289), is a limited edition masterpiece that showcases a vintage aviator feel. The large aviator lenses and titanium construction combine to create an aesthetically appealing look with the renowned quality Scheyden is known for.

“The limited edition ‘Liberator’ is our titanium version of the iconic aviator sunglass, originally developed during the WWII era. This timeless, fashionable, and incredibly durable frame is perfect for those who demand the highest level of precision and quality,” says Jeff Herold, company founder and instrument-rated private pilot. “With the Liberator we have married a vintage aviator frame design with the world’s finest materials. Superior form and function at its best.”

Constructed with the finest components, the Liberator features a hand-welded titanium frame front and spring-loaded hinges for complete comfort, even when worn with a hat, headphones or under a headset. Designed and manufactured to exacting standards, Scheyden’s distortion-free lenses are made of a light weight and high clarity CR39 composite material. They feature a hydrophobic coating to repel water and perspiration, and several layers of anti-reflective coating to diffuse ambient light and protect pupils from reflections. The lenses also include a scratch-resistant finish and come with a 7-layer non-polarized lens. Discernibly, the frames have soft silicon nose pads and temple tips, offering unmatched comfort and fit. Prescription is available upon request by calling customer service.

The new frames will be displayed at the Flying Aviation Show presented by Scheyden, this October 20-22, in Palm Springs, CA.
